Chapter 17 Summary:  This was another suspenseful chapter that was another one of my favorites.  Holden meets Sally for there date, and they take a cab to the movie theater.  Holden does not enjoy the movie or the fact that Sally flirts with another kid.  After that they go ice skating and have a fun time.  This is ruined when Holden lets all of his bottled up feelings out.  This raging anger keeps rising until the Sally cries, he feels bad about if.  Holden tries to make it better but is tired of tryiing to help and just leaves.

Chapter 18 Summary:  Holden calls up his old friend, and they latter meet up for some drinks and to hang out at an local bar.  Holden is bored so he goes to a movie before meeting his old friend.  After the movie is  over he goes to the bar to meet Carl(the old friend).

Chapter 19 Summary:  Holden meets Carl at the bar and they just talk and hang out.  Holden talks to Carl, and asks him many stupid sex questions.  Carl thinks that Holden is extremely crazy, and refuses to answer any of Holdens questions.  Carl thinks that Holden seriously needs some help.  Carl is obviously not enjoying him self and decides to leave even as Holden stays.

Chapter 20 Summary:
